Upper Site - Including Panoramic Views, Event Hall, Pavilion, Guest Services and Family Pool

Upper Site Rendering

The Upper Site of Avalon Springs features a wide panoramic view over wooded valleys, forest, and the Mayacamas mountains beyond.  The view is breathtaking, and the feeling of the upper site is inspiring and expansive.  The site is well-suited for gatherings, events, and celebrations as well as exercise in the fresh mountain air.

Besides the lodging units, the upper meadow site will feature the following

Amphitheater - The amphitheater, with cut terraces providing seating for 20-100 people, will serve as a venue for live music, lectures, and other performance events.

Gathering Pavilion - The open-air pavilion will feature a fire pit in the center, and serve as a gathering place for groups and informal conversation and celebrations.

Event Hall.  The 50 foot diameter yurt style event hall will host gatherings, events, and workshops.  It will rest between two landscaped ponds.  There will be a floating deck on the larger pond which will hold the daily Floating Yoga classes.

Garden and Orchards. The upper site will be lush with gardens, orchards, and landscaping including waterscapes.

Family Pool and Guest Services Building. A family pool will enjoy the expansive view, and will be supported by a guest services building that will house a concierge, snacks and store, a shower and locker area.

Hiking and Meditation Trails. At least four hiking trails will begin at the upper site.  One of these will be an outdoor fitness chi gym trail for those who like to enjoy exercise outdoors.  Pagodas, gardens, benches, and view spots will be featured along the several meditation trails.
